Digital literacy is a key 21^st Century skill. In order to effectively engage globally, English language students need to learn to use digital tools and to express themselves with those tools in English. In this interactive workshop, we will first explore what we mean by digital literacy and we will discuss tools used in classrooms in the United States and in Vietnam. We will then focus on how to give students classroom opportunities to use digital tools to create digital content in English. In particular, we will look at how creating video book reviews gives students opportunities to share their opinions on a book in a new way and how combining audio with images allows students to tell digital stories.
