HANAN KHALIFA joined Cambridge University in 2003 with a PhD in Language Testing from Reading University and is currently a member of the Council of Europe CEFR expert panel. She has extensive educational, assessment and evaluation experience working with universities, ministries of education and international development agencies. Her academic expertise lies in the areas of: receptive and productive skills, teacher training, standards and frameworks, and impact assessment. Her managerial expertise is in the area of strategic planning and quality assurance. She has led educational reform projects, built institutional capacity in the area of educational assessment and conducted numerous programme evaluation and impact studies. Hanan’s published work was a runner-up for the prestigious Sage/ILTA award for Best Book on Language Testing and is used as course material for the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE) professional development programmes and for master’s programmes in UK universities.
