Preparing your learners for business across Asia
Teaching business English today is about preparing students to communicate effectively and appropriately across borders and cultures. As a result, we teach a different set of skills in order to prepare learners for the business world. However, with the growing of international economic communities (including the AEC), the continuing proliferation of the English language, and the increased contact of people from different cultures, the skills we are teaching may need to be reprioritized. This workshop will examine how intercultural awareness, learners’ experience and existing knowledge can all be drawn upon to help motivate business English learners.
