Khau Huu Phuoc graduated cum laude from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in 1990 and received his MA in TESOL from Canberra University in 2000. He was also a certified oral examiner for Cambridge ESOL for eight years. Mr. Phuoc started teaching English skills to English teaching majors in HCMC University of Education right after his graduation. Besides teaching, he designed the writing syllabi and wrote the course materials for the program, which were in use in the English Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education from 2001 till 2010. He was the first to utilize ICT in English teaching at SEAMEO RETRAC and has many times shared his ideas and experience with other teachers at the organization as well as in train-the-teacher workshops where he was given much appreciation from part-takers. Mr. Phuoc is now Training Manager of SEAMEO Regional Centre for Lifelong learning. His responsibilities include developing various programs for adult learners, studying effective practices in lifelong learning in other countries, and disseminating knowledge to master trainers.
